Installing DockSnap on your devices
DockSnap is a web app that installs like a native app. You don't download it from the App Store or Play Store — you add it securely, straight from the browser. That's deliberate:
- It runs on the older phones and shared tablets warehouses actually have
- Every device is always on the latest version — nothing to update
- New team members are capturing in under a minute
iPhone / iPad (Safari)
- Open app.docksnap.io in Safari and log in
- Tap the Share button at the bottom of Safari
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
- Tap Add in the top right
The DockSnap icon appears on the home screen and opens full-screen, like any app.
Android (Chrome)
- Open app.docksnap.io in Chrome and log in
- Tap the menu button (three dots, top right)
- Tap Add to Home screen
- Tap Add to confirm
On a computer
Just bookmark app.docksnap.io. Everything your team captures on the dock is instantly there to browse, search, and share — the office side of DockSnap works best on a big screen.
Tips for rolling out to a dock team
- Set up each shared tablet once — add the icon, log in with that station's account, done
- The camera permission prompt appears on first capture; tap Allow
- If the in-app "Add to Home Screen" banner was dismissed and you want it back, these steps above always work regardless
